The Secret

I'm a big fan of The Secret and the Law of Attraction. Which in case you don't know is attracting what you want by thinking it.  My best example of it is a couple of years ago, Madonna was touring and I really wanted to go.  I tried to win tickets on the radio but I had no luck.  Then, the morning of the concert, my boss came up to me and said, I heard that you wanted to go to the Madonna concert.  She had 4 tickets to it somehow, so a few of us girls from work went.  It actually wasn't all that great of a concert, she didn't play much of her old stuff, mostly just new stuff and come on, really, I think that most people going to see her would want her to play old stuff.  But hey, it was free and now I can say that I've seen her in concert!!  We only had to pay for parking and a couple beers!!

But, anyway... I've been really negative lately and I realized that I need to change my train of thought so that more positive things will come my way.  So today was the first day of changing my thoughts and I had a pretty good day today, so here's to me thinking positive!!

Yowza!

And all of a sudden, it's 2 months later and I haven't posted.  I always have so many good thoughts, but they never quite seem to make it here.

So I must admit, I am not the neatest person in the world (family, please stop laughing now).  I am working on it, but I get started and then I get bored with it, so then I stop straightening things up.  I really need Peter Walsh to come and help me, but I don't want to be on tv, I just want him to stop by and say, "here's what you need to do..."  For example, last weekend, I was working on the bathroom.  Now my bathroom has a GINORMOUS closet, I use it as a linen closet as well as a closet for bathroomy things.  I ended up filling up 3 garbage bags of stuff, which means it was several hundred dollars worth of products that were expired.  I was so sad.  I kept buying different products, but then they would get pushed to the back and I wouldn't remember about them, so then I would buy something else.  But it's really nice now.  My mom suggested that I buy some lazy Susans so that I can turn them and see what I have and those seem to have worked out nicely

The next project is the kitchen, I know that I have some stuff in there that needs to be reorganized including, cupboards, drawers, the pantry and the freezer.  Any suggestions for an easy way to tackle that project?

Mullets

? Mullets? Really? Why do people still have them? And I also wonder what hair salon you go to and the stylist says "sure, I'll give you a mullet!"? Do these people not see others making fun of mullets? Sorry lots of questions, but no answers!

Starting Over...

Holy Carp! (Yes, I said carp, not crap.) It's been almost year since I have written. It doesn't seem like that long. Time does go by a lot faster when you get older, yet another thing that you were right about mom!!

I am going to make a real effort to write every day. One of my favorite authors, who also happens to be a New York Times Bestselling author told me, well not really just me, it was at a book reading/signing she was doing at Borders, but it sounds better if I say that she told me, but I digress, she said that if you want to become a published author that you need to write every day. So that is what I am going to do. A co-worker reminded me the other day that I really need to write a book about my bad, yet usually somewhat funny dating stories. I mean seriously, how can one girl have so many bad dates? Is that all that's left? But I'm not just going to write about dating. I tried the "theme" blog before and we see how well that went over, so now I am just going to write about whatever the hell I feel like writing about!!

I also need to get more computer savvy so I can post pics and videos and links and stuff like that. I'm not very good at it. I did just change the look of my blog, it's much cuter and more girly!!

So can I just say that one of my biggest pet peeves is poor grammar. Really, it's not that hard, you learned most of it in elementary school! Some of my biggest are alot and alittle. Really? You don't write abunch, so why would you write alot or alittle? There's also the different between there, they're and their. They are have totally different meanings, just think about it for a second. Please people, start thinking before you write!!

Ok, my homework is to now figure out how I can post to the blog from my Blackberry. That will make it super easy for me, since I usually think of great things to post when I am nowhere near a computer or it wouldn't be convenient for me to sit down at one and type.
