1. I will be at a healthy weight. So here's my problem, I have a gained a few pounds over the past couple years. I tried to lose it before my sister's wedding, and it didn't really happen to the extent that I wanted it to. So then in July, I joined Weight Watchers, which is really the best program out there. But I have been doing it half-assed! So I am pretending to do WW. I have gained and lost the same couple pounds since July - and yes to answer your question, I have been paying the entire time!! So I need to just get in gear and do it. I did lose a pound over Christmas - who knows how that happened. But I am going to the grocery store today to buy my healthy things that I need to eat and I need to also prepare the night before.
2. Cut back on the Starbucks - I believe that Starbucks was a direct factor in some of my weight gain. Darn yummy Chais! I have not had it yet this year - which yes has only been 4 days, but that is an accomplishment. I just got a super fancy new coffee maker and I am going to make my own coffee in the morning and it will be way cheaper than the 'Bucks!
3. Cut back on spending. I like to think that money grows on trees, or at least for me. I was at the movies the other day ("Marley and Me" - very cute) and we saw a preview for "Shopaholic" and my mom turned and looked at me and asked if that was my story. Ha ha, but yeah, I could probably be in a story similar to that. So I am going to seriously cut back and I am going to start selling some stuff on eBay. This also includes books. I have so many books and yet, I keep buying more. I am going to allow myself to buy Jodi Picoult's book (March) and Jen Lancaster's book (May) and that is it!! Once I get everything read that I have, I may even venture to the library - what a concept!!
So those are my resolutions that I have so far. Here a couple things that I am looking forward to - the new season of Nip/Tuck starts on Tuesday. I can't wait - it is a great show - I watched the first 4 seasons on dvd over a couple weeks and then the first half of season 5 I recorded and watched. If you haven't seen it, you should definitely check it out! I am glad that some of the other shows are coming back right away.
One of my new favorite authors in Kristen Hannah. I read Firefly Lane in just a couple days and there wasn't anything that stood out about the story, it's just about 2 friends from the age of 12 as they grow up and become adults. It was just a good, well-written story. I am currently reading Magic Hour also by Hannah. It is good so far, I am only a few chapters into it. I also want to read the Sookie Stackhouse books (which I have),the HBO series True Blood was based on and then I want to see the series when it comes out on DVD.
Well, I suppose that is enough babbling for now. I guess that my fourth resolution is to try to update more!!
